Project Stranger

2007 11 28 Jogja, Borobudur, Level 7, Looking OutNew York told me I couldn’t publish this book without an agent, and to get an agent I needed to write the book first…

So I’m inaugurating this blog as a way to get the story written. I don’t yet know where the story will go or if this is the right venue for telling it but your interactions will help motivate me to write it.

You will find no classified information here (I’m not Hillary Clinton) but I will try to make it interesting. Though I will tell the tale using anecdotes from my life, the story is not about me, it’s about the amazing people and societies I’ve been lucky to come into contact with in my travels. It’s not arranged in any particular order and it’s not a story you can read from front to back.  You’ll find a mixture of tales, musings, and analysis about what’s going on. The world is just awesome and I’ve seen a good chunk of it so here goes nothing.

Dear Mr. Miani, I learnt of you at the “Military Ethics” on-line course. Very interesting and vigorous narrating of the Battle of the Bulge indeed. Wishing you all the best at the Project Stranger.

Thank you Anastasia! I’m glad you liked my presentation in the course. I had great fun doing it and I’m having even more fun taking the course itself.

Please enjoy Project Stranger and feel free to share it widely.
